Hi, I’m Susan Palacios and I have enjoyed teaching bilingual students at Jackson since 2006. Before coming to Jackson, I worked enrolling English Language Learners fromall over the world at the DMPS Welcome Center. I graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with degrees in Elementary Education and Spanish. I later earned an endorsement for English Language Learning through William Penn/Morningside.

My teaching philosophy is that every student matters, and every student can learn. Jackson Elementary is a diverse learning community with many cultures, languages, and personalities! We work hard to find each child’s strength and help them blossom.
